Autoimmune Rheumatic Disorder AIRD Survey 2023 is being done by Caas India Foundation. The purpose of this survey is to develop a directory of patients suffering from diseases like AIRD (Autoimmune Rheumatic Disorders) like – Ankylosing Spondylitis, Lupus, Scleroderma, Mixed connective tissue disease, Sjögren’s syndrome, present in the country. Through this directory, the patients of Autoimmune Disease have to be brought on one platform. So that, apart from being in contact with each other, they can also act as numerical strength in the campaign related to it.

As you know these diseases require systematic treatment. Whereas, the treatment of these diseases are also expensive and not everyone can easily afford the expenses for the treatment of these diseases. There is no system of health insurance coverage for the treatment of most of these diseases in our health system. In such a situation, treatment of these diseases emerges as a big financial problem for any patient. If you are also suffering from autoimmune rheumatic diseases, then you can be a part of caas India foundation’s campaign by participating in this survey.

To provide affordable treatment to patients suffering from autoimmune rheumatic diseases, there is a need for health insurance covering these diseases. At present, this type of facility is not available in our health system. caas india foundation is in constant touch with the health ministry in this regard. We had also written a letter to the Prime Minister. After which our matter was sent to the Ministry of Health for consideration. Further proceedings are on. By participating in this survey of patients, we will be able to help them in many cases.

Because of which people are not serious about these diseases and many times it has been seen that even their relatives are not sensitive towards the patients suffering from these diseases. Even in workplaces, the attitude of the employer towards such patients is also irresponsible.

It has also been observed many times that employees suffering from autoimmune diseases who are performing well in good field have to lose their job just because they take more leave due to health problems than other co-workers. In such a situation, the already problematic person becomes helpless on the economic front as well.
